sorry if my question seemed stupid, but 'making a sample that can be played as a loop' is not the obvious answer to his question.. I am involved in both sample based looping using tools like Acid, as well as live looping using either software like Mobius, or hardware like a Dl4 or Gibson Echoplex, etc.. which involves capturing samples in realtime and looping them, with possibly realtime edits, etc... so, I just wanted to make sure his question was specific to the usage of Acid, or did he want to use Acid in a way that it's not meant to be.. :) peace -cpr

"the music goes in here and goes around and around" and around and around and around............................lol In acid if you make your loop too be one measure long and render to a high quality MP3, or master a .wav in sound forge or wavelab or t-racks, import the master back into acid you can then render a really high quality MP3 or use one of the above mastering programs to make a .wav loop. From my point of view the .wav is going to be too large a file size, especialy when learning to make loops. Anyway a one measure(or less) bit-o-music will auto loop in acid when rendered to an mp3.
