Methods For Adding Effects

I Was Wondering How Others Apply Effects To Vocals In Acid Pro 5. I Create A Bus With All The Effects I Want In It And Take Down The Normal Volume Of The Track And Apply The Bus Track. But I Have Read Some People Do It In Layers By Compressions And Making It Into A Wave Then Reopening It And Adding Other Effects. Is The Bus Way The Wrong Way To Apply Effects? Thanx For Your Time

the bus is a great tool for adding the same effects to multipul tracks, thus saving your cpu from having to do the same work two or more times. Some efxs like reverb are heavy number crunchers and can make the cpu work overtime.

bussing is a great way to maintain contiunity over mulipul tracks...if you want the song to sound like it's coming out of the same "room" it's highly recomended.

Oftentimes I will duplicate vocal tracks if i want to add effects on certain words or sections but not on the whole track
