  You can change tempo pretty easily.
  
  First of all, set your cursor at the desired point in the timeline, go to Insert (on the menu bar)>tempo change, and enter your BPM. You can do this as many times as you wish in a session.
  
  BTW, I'm using Acid Pro 4.0. Not sure if this feature is available in lesser versions.

    Thanks, I had received a similar comment but it did not work. I am using 3.0 and had heard it worked in 3.0 I will try again, thanks.
    
    I hear 5.0 has some interesting new features.
